People ask me when we’ll start a family

Little do they know how hard we've tried

“We’re not ready yet”, we sometimes lie

Everywhere we go, 

We’re reminded of what might be

And I blame myself 

for why we’re unhappy

O Jesus, 

Don’t you see us? 

I am so confused, 

Is it me or is it you

Am I broken? 

Or is this the path you’ve chosen?

When my faith is shaken

Inside my heart is breaking

Help us know that you alone 

Can fill this child sized hole in our home.

It kills me when I see

Little feet running past me 

Hearing “Mommy” and I think

Will that ever be for me?

Pain pierced my heart again

And I call out your name
